Researcher in numerical analysis and modeling

RWTH Aachen University

I am interim professor at the Department of Mathematics of RWTH Aachen University. I work on numerical methods for hyperbolic and parabolic differential equations and on mathematical modeling. I have focused, in particular, on tempo-spatial modeling of cancer related processes and recently on network models of roads and blood vessels.

With regard to numerical simulations I have worked on Lagrange-Galerkin methods, implicit-explicit finite volume schemes, adaptive mesh refinement techniques and mass transport/splitting methods.

My research interests further include the mathematical analysis of differential equations resulting from the modeling.
